Star Wars Episode 2 Spoilers Attack of the Clones Plot Spoiler
Star Wars Episode 2 Attack of the Clones begins with Padme Amidala's space craft on its way to Coruscant, the capital world of the Old Republic. With a successful landing at a docking port, someone who looks like Padme leaves the space craft, then a massive explosion engulfs the docking area. The person, who looks like Padme, is actually a decoy in the place of the real Padme Amidala. However, Padme is in disguise and then rushes over to the side of her fallen decoy, who dies in the arms of Padme.
Time passes then Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi are guarding Padme at Padme's apartment located in Coruscant. Being nearby, Zam Wesell, a dangerous bounty hunter, releases a spy droid, which contains poisonous creatures. The spy droid gets the poisonous creatures in Padme's apartment. However, Obi Wan and Anakin intervene successfully before the creatures can kill Padme.
To stop further attacks, Obi Wan and Anakin chase after Zam Wesell in air speeders around Coruscant. The heroes end up pursuing Wesell into a local nightclub. Anakin and Obi Wan capture the bounty hunter, but Jango Fett, a bounty hunter who hired Wesell to kill Padme, kills Wesell with a poison dart. Obi Wan then spends time trying to figure out who the bounty hunter is who is trying to kill Padme.
As a result of his research, the clues take Obi Wan to Kamino, which is a water planet. Meanwhile, Anakin becomes the personal protector of Padme and they leave Coruscant and travel to Naboo. Soon, Anakin and Padme start to fall in love with each other. On Kamino, Obi Wan finds out someone acting as Jedi Master Sifo Dyas has ordered a large and powerful clone army.
Obi Wan tracks down Jango Fett on Kamino, but their meeting eventually ends in an exciting battle fought outside in the rain of Kamino. Jango flees to safety in his star ship, but Obi Wan attaches a tracking machine to the space ship before Jango leaves. Next, Obi Wan follows Jango and they fight in a star battle against each other. Jango wrongly believes he has killed Obi Wan so Jango then goes to a planet named Geonosis.
Obi Wan is still alive and secretly follows Jango to Geonosis. Meanwhile, Padme and Anakin feverishly travel to Tatooine in order for Anakin to save his mother Shmi Skywalker. Anakin discovers Shmi is now married to a person named Cliegg Lars, but Anakin learns Shmi has been taken prisoner by the Sand People Tusken Raiders.
Riding a swoop bike, Anakin goes into the desert to rescue Shmi. After searching for a while, Anakin locates the village of Sand People, who have Shmi as their prisoner. However, Shmi dies in Anakin's arms, which causes much anger in Anakin to the point where Anakin kills everyone in the village.
On Geonosis, Obi Wan is taken prisoner by Count Dooku. Soon, Padme and Anakin go to Geonosis in order to save Obi Wan, but during the rescue attempt Anakin and Padme are also captured by the adversary. The villains plan to execute Padme, Anakin and Obi Wan in a battle arena of Geonosis. Yet the three heroes are saved by about 200 Jedi Knights, who have been sent to Geonosis.
A battle ensues between the Jedi against the Separatists droid military. After a while, the clone army descends upon Geonosis to destroy the machine military, which has attacked the Jedi. During the battle, Count Dooku attempts to flee to safety. In a clone troop transport ship, Padme, Anakin and Obi Wan pursue after Dooku.
During the chase, Padme falls out of the transport, but is left behind by Obi-Wan so that Obi Wan and Anakin can capture the fleeing Dooku. Dooku makes it to a secret location where Dooku has a star ship waiting for Dooku. However, Obi Wan and Anakin prevent Dooku from leaving.
Anakin and Obi Wan then engage Dooku in an amazing and spectacular light saber duel. Obi Wan is knocked out of the fight so Anakin battles Dooku alone, but Dooku cuts off one of Anakin's arms with Dooku's light saber. The two Jedi have been vanquished by Dooku, but Yoda enters the fight and intervenes before Dooku can kill Anakin and Obi Wan.
Next, Yoda fights Dooku in a light saber battle. Eventually, Dooku flees to his star ship after Dooku attempts to kill Obi Wan and Anakin with a large object. Yoda prevents the object from killing the two Jedi. However, Dooku escapes and has a meeting with Darth Sidious in a mysterious location.
Star Wars Episode 2 concludes with the Skywalker marriage between Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala as witnessed by the droids R2D2 and C3PO. Iris out and begin the production end titles.
